Have you been trained as a Liturgical Minister?

Please consider sharing your talents in the Mass! To become a Liturgical Minister please contact Father or an Outreach Minister about which Ministry you would like to learn and we will find a time for you to be trained.

If you have been trained, please continue to fulfill your duty to the Didde community.

To access the schedules and upcoming needs of Ministry, simply go to the top of the webpage and under the Liturgy section choose Schedules or Training.

Involvement in the Ministry is a great way to become connected with other students at the Didde Center, so please consider being trained.

Come join us on Monday March 11th at 5pm for our monthly Abundant Harvest! Every second Monday of the month, the Didde Center serves hot meals to those in need. Volunteers are also welcome to sign up for the event to prepare the meals and help clean up afterwards.

Join us this Sunday, March 3rd, for brunch immediately after 10 AM Mass. We will be serving pasta with garlic bread and salad.

WHY GOD? Rise Night 2019 with Sebastian D'Amico

The first of a three part series: why should we believe God exists? Why should we think about arguments about why God exists?

This Lent can be different....

Remember your Death!

We'll be giving away copies of Sister Theresa Aletheia Noble's book, Remember your Death Lenten Devotional at our 8 AM Ash Wednesday Mass in the PKP Room of the ESU Memorial Union. Show up early--once they're gone, they're gone!

This book, just published in 2019, was the result of Sister Theresa's tweetstorm #mementomori about keeping a skull on her desk to remind her about her death, and to live out of the perspective that "it is no longer I, but Christ who lives in me." This daily meditation will assist readers of all faiths and backgrounds to draw upon this powerful spiritual practice so that this Lent is truly a transformative one.

Want to sponsor a copy for a student? Send us $15 and let us know you want it to go to "Lenten Devotional" in the comments!

Father Chad Arnold, vocation director for the Diocese of Wichita, will be at the Didde Center on Thursday, Feb. 7th.

His regular visits are an opportunity for young men to grab a meal or coffee and hear about what openness to a priestly vocation might mean!

Each year, Father Nick Blaha leads a group of 8 hikers into the remote desert wilderness of Big Bend National Park, pictured at right.

Big Bend is three parks in one, containing mountainous, desert, and river terrain. Our itinerary will include all three. It is home to nearly 190 species of birds, a great variety of wildlife and desert flora, natural hot springs on the Rio Grande, and some of the most spectacular views in the southwest. It is also the national park with the least light pollution in the lower 48 states, allowing for an unparalleled view of the night sky.

The retreat dimension will include conferences and readings on the Purgatorio of Dante, daily Mass (including Mass at 7,800 feet), silent meditation, and plenty of opportunities for mortification and teamwork!

We will be backpacking for the majority of the trip, but our 14-hour drive home will involve an overnight stop in Dallas for a hot shower and a good meal.

Hikers are required to train beforehand, including day hikes with full gear.

Download an application and submit it to the Didde Center office with your $50 deposit by February 13th, 2019.
